Easter
I'll try not to drone on about my disappointment of canceling our East Canyon trip, but we feel better about the decision after our neighbor informed us the resort had flooded and was under water. Maybe next year.
We had a great time visiting with cousins on Saturday, after Trae's lacrosse games. They made us lunch and set up an egg hunt for the kids. I am so lucky to have such fun cousins!
We were worried about the weather, so we did our Easter egg hunt inside. Have you ever tried to hide 111 eggs into 2 small rooms? Most were in plain sight, but the boys still had fun.
We did our visit with Grandpa and Grandma. They hid their Easter eggs filled with Grandpa's pocket change. Mason found the most at $40, Trae was at $19 until he had to forfeit $5 to Jamison, and Jamison was at $9 before Trae's generous donation. I might have to find eggs next year for Grandpa's pocket change!!
Brett and the boys spent probably 45 minutes outside with the goal of beating their record of kite flying from last year... they didn't do it, although, it was pretty funny watching them run back and forth across the yard dragging kites behind them...
We were then off to Nana and Papa's. We love visiting there. We were lucky enough to show off Bekham to some of the family, but most especially to Lucy, whom is so generous with the boys.

All Trae wanted was a 2 ft chocolate bunny... couldn't find a 2 ft one, but he was satisfied with the one he received.

Mason was trying to save this egg in his basket. I found it a few days later and convinced him to take a picture with it and throw it away!

Trae
Trae never wants his picture taken, but this past week he changed his mind. I just can't believe how old he is getting. At his physical, the doctor said Trae's recent growth spurt should be some kind of record. From November - March he grew 10 INCHES! He now stands at 5'7".
This kid is keeping me running. I pick him up from track at 4PM and he needs to be to lacrosse at 5PM and finishes up around 7PM. Then home again for dinner, homework, and off to la-la land. We don't have time for much of anything, so if I don't stop and talk we'll both be sad, but have to make do with a friendly wave... What's that saying from that Jim Carrey show?... "Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!"

Spring weather brings ouchies..
Mason was out enjoying the weather with his brother and friends when he bit his tongue. Blood galore! It's almost good that they don't stitch up tongues because if you think about it, it would be killer painful!
He did get cool points from the guys though! One even compared it to a triple paper cut on the tongue... LoL
**If you noticed the little line on the other side of his tongue, that is from when a pen went through it! It gives the don't run with that in your mouth meaning!**

More fun with cousins
Mason being a construction worker at the Discovery Playhouse. We had a blast! Very fun place to take all the cousins on another one of our hooky days. Jamison got a bit bored, but he hung in there with us.

The toothpaste mess
On this particular day, I was having some very loving thoughts of my boys and thinking what a challenge they were, but they were my world. I then happened to catch a glimpse of the toothpaste disaster and realized I might be trading them in for some new toothpaste. This mess consisted of 2 new tubes of toothpaste (no wonder Mason was complaining.there.was no toothpaste). I thought of making them scrape it off the sink counter (like Ramona was forced to), but instead just made them clean up the mess. Boys! Im afraid of what they will think up next!

My boys are scaring our neighbors...
So, my cute neighbor came over to let her little boy play with Mason and she wanted to lend her rocking the baby services. We were sitting on the couch chatting when her boy comes to tell us about Jamison's misuse of the pen. It took him explaining it a few times for it to really hit me what, exactly, Jamison was doing with the pen. I ran downstairs to find Jamison, Mason, and the bathroom sink covered in pen! It seems they wanted to see what was inside and to do some painting with the ink.... yeah, I was not impressed... I just stared at them, told them it better get cleaned up, and quietly walked back upstairs. I mean really what was he thinking??
Not too long after, Mason comes upstairs needing some crayons. I ask him what they are going to color. His response? They were going to use the crayons as darts. My neighbor just looked at me and asks if they frequently use crayons as darts... um, no, this is a new one on me.
Needless to say, I'm not sure when she'll be back...

Who blogs from their phone and wants to give me pointers? I tried out the blogger app, but was not impressed. After writing it up it would not send it. I was very disappointed. Do any of you log on to the actual blogger website on your phone and blog from there? I'll have to figure something out because I can't always be at my computer, but I can almost always be found by my phone.
I had so many things I wanted to put in my new post, but heck if I can even remember one thing now. I guess that is just the way the mommy brain rolls, or at least mine... It's right up there with forgetting to take my camera places or even worse, is having my camera with me and forgetting to take pictures! UGH! I have just come to realize that Bekham has this little sensor that tells him when I am getting on the computer to blog. It wakes him from the deepest of sleeps to let me know he needs my attention instead. And YES, he woke up just a moment ago, and is not very happy with me. He is semi satisfied by staring at himself in the mirror on the mobile above his swing, but at any moment that binkie of his is going to fly out of his mouth, and he is going to let out a howl of humongous proportions.
Anyway, I just wanted to share with you all that my 5-year-old flooded my bathroom today. He came running out screaming the toilet water was going everywhere. I thought about taking my time to go check things out, but the panic in his voice made me run a little faster. I am so glad I did, but sadly, the newly washed towels sitting by the bathroom door are clean no more. They were used to make a dam in the doorway and the rest of them were used to soak up the floor. This was no little load of towels, this is a load from a fully stuffed front loader washing machine... I'm telling you this so you will realize the large amount of water that was on my floor. So that was my morning just before having to rush Mason to school.
Trae had an A-W-E-S-O-M-E lacrosse game on Saturday, first game of the season and did I mention that it was awesome? No? Well it was awesome! Trae was so on his game. He floored a few guys and made a few passes that I never thought I would see from this kid. I'm so super duper proud of him. Okay, so maybe I shouldn't be saying super duper when talking about a 13-year-old, but my kid is so cool! I'll have to get some action shots of him next weekend. Love lacrosse season.
Oh My Heck! I keep forgetting to post the most exciting news!! Trae had an allergy test and a soy challenge test done last week and the results were.... Drum Roll please..... He grew out of his serious soy allergy!! I never in a million yrs expected to hear this. We got out of there and he asked me for a Snickers bar! HA HA HA!! I don't think it will change our eating habits too much, but the stress of these last 4 years can finally end.
